RIM Releases Desktop Manager 4.5-Inadvertently Tests BB Users Attention and Patience

While we were out enjoying the Summer Solstice this weekend by burning witches and sipping on snake soup, RIM celebrated by posting up the newest version of Desktop Manager, confusing many BlackBerry users.

Seeing that a new version was available, thousands of BlackBerry users headed on over to download it (you can find the link here) and clicked the first link they saw, not knowing that it was only the Desktop DEVICE MANAGER and it was in French. HAH! (pourquoi n'est pas mon Desktop Manager de travail?-BTW, thanks Google Translator...I don't speak French, so if I jacked up that phrase, please let me know and we will fix it.)

Judging by the amount of people who then started posted on forums and blogs that "There is no Desktop Manager icon" and "Why is it only in French" shows the impatience and inattentiveness of BlackBerry owners across the world.

For those of you who DO want to download the 4.5 Desktop Manager and DON'T want to look stupid in the process wondering why it's not working, make sure you scroll down to at least the 5th download link.

Thanks Terrapin!
